    Utility scissors Koshiji Kobayashi Seikyo

    Some tools have no single place or single use. They lie in the kitchen while trimming herbs, later on the workbench while opening packages, and in the afternoon they help with plant care. The Koshiji utility scissors were created precisely for similar everyday tasks. One of the blades has fine serrations that help keep smooth or soft materials in place during cutting. The rubberized handles sit comfortably in the hand even when working in a damp environment. Thanks to their compact dimensions, they are suitable for common household tasks, minor repairs, and studio work.

    About the manufacturer

    Kobayashi Seikyo manufactures scissors in the Japanese city of Sanjō, which is known for its long metalworking tradition. The company was founded after the Second World War and specializes in producing gardening and multipurpose scissors for everyday use. The company’s history follows on from the production of surgical instruments, which founder Kenji Kobayashi began in 1939.

    Material and maintenance

    The blades are made of stainless steel. The handles have a plastic core with a non-slip rubber surface that improves grip security.

    After use, simply clean the blades of any dirt and dry them. To maintain smooth operation, we recommend storing the scissors in a dry place and lightly lubricating the joint as needed, for example with camellia oil. Regular care will help preserve their precise cut and long service life.

    Designed for ordinary everyday use. Suitable for paper, textiles, natural materials, plastic, herbs, vegetables, and thin sheet metal. Do not use on hard wire or materials that could damage the edge. Keep out of reach of children.

    Značku Kobayashi Seikyo založil Kenji Kobayashi v roce 1939 v Tokyu, když začal vyrábět nejprve lékařské nástroje a chirurgické nůžky. Po konci druhé světové války se ale Kenji vrátil domů do města Sanjo. V domě svých rodičů si otevřel obchod a přeorientoval se na dnešní sortiment - tedy utility a zahradní nůžky.
